Prior to developing Drunk Elephant, I had struggled with all sorts of skin issues. As a frustrated, confused brand-hopper, I searched endlessly for anything that would help, but nothing really worked, and if it did, the effects didn't last. This led me to start educating myself about ingredients, how skin reacts to them, and what roles they play in a formulation. Through this process, I identified six ingredient categories that I believed were at the root of my skin problems—today we call them the Suspicious 6.

The Juju Bar provides a creamy lather that can dissolve pore-clogging impurities, thanks to its formulation with thermal mud and bamboo powder, which gently exfoliate away dead, dry skin. We've implemented Compact by Design, an initiative that identifies products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design.
